Passing Out Parade of Army Wing Girls Assessment camp Detail II and Naval Wing Girls Assessment Camp Detail I.

1906 Cadets passed out on Monday in a prestigious Parade upon successful completion of their Training and Assessments at NCC Training Centre, Rantambe. The Parade was commanded by Lt. Col. WV Anuruddhika Commanding Officer of 32 Battalion whilst Major Chandrika Wijegunawardene Commanding Officer of 29 Battalion was the Second in Command. Rear Admiral WASS Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc The Commander of North - Western Naval area as the Chief Guest graced the Passing Out Parade ceremony on the invitation of Director NCC Major General Ajith Wickramasinghe. The Chief Guest awarded the trophies and medals to the winning schools at the final competition. Due to busy training schedule of the NCC 50 Army girls platoons and 25 Naval girls’ platoons were accommodated simultaneously.

 

Training of cadets had been organized separately according to their respective curriculum since they belong to different wings. However, as the final Parade fell on the same day, it was conducted by amalgamating two wings together.

 

The most outstanding platoon of the Army Girls’ Assessment camp was Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy and Sir John Kothalawala College, Kurunegala became the best girls’ platoon of Naval Girls’ Assessment Camp.

 

The Commandant and senior officers of the NCC and Tri-services participated the Parade.
A massive crowd witnessed the parade inclusive of principals, parents, well-wishers and old cadets.
